Industrialist's son kidnapped

BANGALORE: A Bangalore-based industrialist has lodged a complaint with the Attibele police saying that his son was kidnapped and later released after he paid ransom to the culprits. The complainant, Yagnanarayana, is the owner of Sona Bond factory in Attibele industrial town.
The Attibele police said Yagnanaryana's son, Gautham, was kidnapped on April 16 when he was on his way home from the factory in the evening. Gautham was taken away in a car by the culprits who blinded him with chilli powder. The culprits called Yagnanarayana and demanded Rs. 15 lakh ransom. Gautham was released after the ransom was paid, the police said. The victim then lodged a complaint on Sunday.
