BANGALORE: Cash and gold was stolen from a temple in Malleshpalya, Kaggadasapura, here on Saturday night. Byapannahalli Police said the incident was noticed at 6 a.m. on Sunday morning by Yogananda, archak at the Shree Jalkanteshawara temple. The lock of the hundi was broken and Rs. 15,000 in cash was stolen from there, said a police source. Gold lamps worth Rs. 3,000 used for puja were also stolen, the source added. Chain snatched A gold chain estimated at Rs. 1 lakh was snatched from woman in Kothanur on Saturday night. Kothanur Police said the woman and her husband were walking towards their house in Chickagudi around 8.45 p.m. when a man on a motorbike snatched the chain. Racket busted Two men were arrested and three women were detained in Koramangala here on Saturday. Amit Kumar (22) from Raipur in Uttar Pradesh and Ravi Kumar (23) from Patna in Bihar were arrested on the charge of running a prostitution racket. Another accused, Rajesh, fled.
