Lahiri eighth

SAMUI (Thailand): Anirban Lahiri, who ended at two-under 282 with five birdies, two bogeys and a double bogey in the last eight holes, finished eighth at the Queen's Cup golf tournament, here on Sunday.

Meanwhile, a poor back nine — four bogeys in five holes — ended Jyoti Randhawa's hopes of a top-10 finish as he ended up tied 16th with one-over 285.

Himmat Rai (70) ended 20th, while Digvijay Singh (71) finished tied for 39th spot.

Thailand's Chawalit Plaphol claimed the title with a polished three-under-par 68 to beat countryman Prayad Marksaeng by two shots. — PTI
