WinWinD, Suryachakra to develop wind farm

CHENNAI: WinWinD Power Energy (P) Ltd., a part of the Finnish WinWinD Oy Group which is a constituent of the Chennai-based Siva Group, has entered into an MoU with Suryachakra Green Power Pvt. Ltd., an associate of Hyderabad-based Suryachakra Power Corporation, to develop a 250-MW wind park in Dharapuram located near Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. Estimated to cost $350 million, the project will be developed in three phases and is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2013.
