Boy killed

VILLUPURAM: A two-year-old boy, P.Govindaraj, was killed on the spot when a private school bus ran over him at Thirumangalam near Kallakurichi on Monday morning.

The police sources said that the bus belonging to a private school at Kallakurichi had come to Thirumangalam to pick up a batch of students there. After all the students boarded the bus it started moving, but the driver failed to notice the boy standing in front of the bus Immediately after the accident, the local people got agitated and detained the bus with other students inside. Police arrived at the scene, pacified the crowd and arrested driver I.Subramanian (46) of Kallakurichi.
