VELLORE: A 25-year-old youth was arrested on Monday for trying to throw two bottles containing liquor into the Vellore Central Prison for Men. Bagayam police said Suresh, a resident of Gangaiamman Koil Street, Vadapalani in Chennai, was found outside the prison premises trying to throw two soft drinks bottles containing alcohol into the prison. Prison personnel, who spotted him, nabbed him immediately. A case was registered at the Bagayam police station and enquiry is being conducted.
