‘Many across the globe were inspired by Mahatma Gandhi's struggle for independence' ‘Educated youth should strive to address contemporary social problems'
Showing Gandhian way:Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Suresh Kumar inaugurating the youth convention in Shimoga on Monday. Vinayananda Saraswathi and Nirbhayananda Saraswathi are with him. Shimoga: Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Suresh Kumar has called upon the youth to adopt the Gandhian ideology in their personal life. He was addressing the youth convention organised by Ramakrishna Vivekananda Ashram at Kuvempu Rangamandir here on Monday. He said Mahatma Gandhi had firm belief in truth and non-violence. The Gandhian values were relevant even today. Inspired by Mahatma Gandhi's fight against the Britishers, Nelson Mandela mobilised people against racial discrimination. Mahatma Gandhi was a source of inspiration for many across the world. Unfortunately, Indians had failed to realise the importance of Gandhian values, he said. The Gandhian mode of struggle launched by social activist Anna Hazare had evoked good response. The youth should take part in the movement against corruption, he said. The educated youth should think of contemporary social problems and strive to address them, he said. Nirbhayananda Saraswathi and Vinayananda Saraswathi swamijis were present.
