Kanna still in Nepal due to bad weather

HYDERABAD: Housing Minister Kanna Lakshminarayana and his entourage could not be flown back due to inclement weather on Monday and remained stationed in the Himalayan mountainous town of Simikot, Nepal, Defence Ministry officials informed Chief Minister's Office here.

According to an official press release, although necessary arrangements were made for the return journey of the Minister and others, the weather was not conducive. Immediately on learning that Mr. Lakshminarayana and his group were stranded in Hilsa on Sunday while returning from Kailash Manasarovar yatra, Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy spoke to Union Minister of State for Defence, M.M. Pallam Raju. The release said that Mr. Lakshminarayana might start his return journey on Tuesday once the weather improves.
