GUNTUR: The RTI Forum has condemned the Union Cabinet's decision to exempt the Central Bureau of Investigation from giving information under the Right to Information Act, saying that it will put a question mark on the transparency of the government when CBI is investigating sensitive cases such as 2G spectrum and CWG scandals. The decision comes at a time when there is growing restlessness among the people over corruption at high places, and the government's failure to check it. “The decision is bound to add to this cynicism,” United Forum on RTI Campaign district chairman P.C. Sai Babu stated in a press release.
