TIRUPATI: Skyworth India Electronics has launched its array of LCD and LED television sets in the Tirupati market on Monday.
Qi Yong Michael, Managing Director (India), formally unveiled the products and announced that after LCD and LED television sets, the company would soon bring out its range of other products such as car audio systems, communication, set top boxes, home appliances, and mobile phones in a year. The company is targeting people from the middle income group and is keen on providing LED television sets for the price of LCD sets.
After a formal launch in Hyderabad, Karimnagar, and Rajahmundry, the company eyed Tirupati as a promising market in the State and hence chose to release the products here, said Samuel Manohar, the company's Country Head (Sales). The products would be taken to Kerala in July, Karnataka in August, and Tamil Nadu by December, after which it would aim for a pan-India presence by targeting other metro cities, he added.
As an inaugural offer, for the first three months, the company has announced to sell the 24” LED television sets priced at Rs. 18590 for Rs. 15990 along with a 4GB USB pen drive.
Service centres would also be opened in a dozen cities in the State.
