Applications for financial aid to teachers' children invited

HYDERABAD: The National Foundation for Teachers' Welfare, Government of India, has invited applications from eligible teachers – those working in government, municipal and private aided schools – for providing financial assistance to their children pursuing professional/diploma courses in the engineering, medicine and management subjects.

Director of School Education N. Siva Sankar said in a statement on Monday said that the eligible teachers could submit their filled-in applications along with original cash (fee) receipts (tuition fee for the 2009-10 academic year) and attested copies of memorandum of marks in all years of the course being pursued by June 27 to: Secretary-Treasurer, National Foundation for Teachers' Welfare, Directorate of School Education, Saifabad, Hyderabad – 500 004.

Prescribed application form (Annexure-I) along with guidelines could be obtained from the District Educational Officers concerned by the eligible teachers.
