Centre ready for probe

Special Correspondent

KANNUR: Union Minister of State for Home Mullappally Ramachandran said here on Monday that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) would inquire into, in detail, the 32 lottery cases handed over to it, and the agency would investigate more cases related to the scam if the State government made a demand. He was speaking to presspersons after visiting the ailing Communist Marxist Party leader M.V. Raghavan.

To a question, the Minister said the Centre had been in favour of a comprehensive inquiry into the lottery cases.
