Sridhar-Rajamani duo prevails

Coimbatore: S.A. Sridhar and G.M. Rajamani combined well to emerge the nett winner of the KAY ARR Enterprises Trophy golf tournament, which was played in the ‘Against Bogey' format with a maximum of 24 strokes, here on Monday.

The results: Nett: 1. S.A. Sridhar / G.M. Rajamani + 10; 2. P.R. Ramakrishnan / P. Kumaraswamy + 7.

Gross winner: R. Gopinath & L.S. Rajendran – 5 .

Badminton tournament

The District shuttle badminton ranking tournament for boys and girls, organised by the Coimbatore District Badminton Association, will be held from June 27 to July 1.

The matches for the girls will be held at the Cosmopolitan Club and for the boys at Jenny's Club and Déjà vu Club (Tristar Apartments) courts. Entries may be sent to Ms. Shanthi Rao, 1054 / 21, Avanashi Road, Coimbatore-641 018 (0422-2244981-83, 98422 24183) or Ms. Karthi, 104, Ponnurangam Road (West), R.S. Blossoms CC posts win

At Udhagamandalam, V. Tinku Prasheed (55 & three for 11) played a stellar role in Blossoms Cricket Club's two-run win over Cordite Factory Sports Club in the TNCA-NDCA first division league on Sunday.

The scores: Blossoms CC 176 (V. Tinku Prasheed 55, D. Martin 38) bt Cordite Factory SC 174 (S. Sreevatsan 60, S. Vishnu Vardhan 53, V. Tinku Prasheed three for 11, D. Martin three for 37); Youngstars CC 80 (V. Rajasekar four for eight, S. Seyabudeen three for eight) lost to Kents CC 84 for four in 12.5 overs (D. Manjunath 33 n.o.) .

NDCA T20 tournament

The Nilgiris District Cricket Association will conduct a Twenty20 cricket tournament for the Sankaran Memorial Rolling Trophy at Lawrence School and Laidlaw Memorial School grounds from June 22 to July 24.

Tennis tournament

The Pro Serve Tennis Academy will conduct the AITA Talent Series for the under-12 and 14 boys and girls at the CDTA tennis courts in R.S. Puram here from July 18 to 22.

A District–ranking tournament for the under-10 children will be held concurrently with the AITA Series.
