JAKARTA: Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal said here on Monday that she was confident of retaining the Indonesian Open women's singles title despite injury in her left leg. The defending champion sustained the injury in the Singapore Open last week. Saina, the fourth seed in BWF's women's singles group, told Xinhua that the competition would be tough as the Chinese dominated the top ranks. “Chances are there. All I have to do is to stay confident, preparing myself for every match in the championship,” Saina said after conducting her badminton exercise in the country's landmark badminton stadium Istora Senayan here. She said that the Chinese players would be her toughest contenders at the Indonesian Open Super Series, which she won last year. She said that the injury to her left leg that she suffered in the recent Singapore Open had started healing. She said that she felt much better now and was fit to take part in the championship. The 2011 Indonesia Open Super Series will be held from June 21 to June 26. — Xinhua
