MANGALORE: The popular chocolate cake “Nandini Bite” from the Karnataka Milk Federation will now be prepared from the diary at Kulashekara here. Higher Education Minister and Udupi district in-charge V.S. Acharya launched the production of the cakes here on Monday. This cake is prepared using milk, ghee, khowa, badam, coco, cardamom, Bengal gram floor, and maida. These cakes are being made available in 25 gram sachets at a price of Rs. 7. The Dakshina Kannada Cooperative Milk Producers' Union dairy in Kulashekara will supply the cake in 250 grams packet, it was announced on Monday. Although the product is available in the market, it was not being produced in the dairy here. According to union chairman Raviraj Hegde, the Kulashekara dairy has started with production and supply of 30 kg Nandini Bite as against the demand for 200 kg. It is produced in the dairy and those produced in other KMF diaries will be supplied..
