‘Sincere effort brings success'
Staff Reporter
KARUR: Young civil servants should serve society with honour and earn the glory as officials with impeccable integrity, former Vice Chancellor of Anna University E. Balagurusamy said recently.
At the felicitation function organised for four civil servants selected from the State at Valluvar College of Arts and Management here, Mr. Balagurusamy said though education has taken great strides, bribery and corruption have taken a toll on development. It was the duty of civil servants to tackle the evil by renouncing such practice.
Former Vice Chancellor of Tamil University, Thanjavur, C.Subramanian, said officials should bring glory to their hometown by serving all sections without any distinction.
Four candidates who had cleared the Civil Services Examination from the State – S.Divyadarshini, M.K.Arvindh Kumar, K.Vijay Karthikeyan and P.Shyam Sundar – were felicitated.
Correspondent of Valluvar College K.Senguttuvan lauded the achievement of the foursome and pointed out that dedication, planned hard work, grasp of the basics, and knowledge about societal needs would pave the way for a successful public life.
