Young managers told to excel

KOCHI: Managers should be able to take decisions quickly to excel in their profession, Forests and Sports Minister K.B. Ganesh Kumar, has said.

In his address after inaugurating the 9 {+t} {+h} batch of MBA programme offered by the SCMS School of Technology and Management here on Monday, Mr. Kumar said that the delay in taking decisions would affect the prospects of a manager.

Urging the students to step up their professional skills, Mr. Kumar said that they should be aware of what is happening in society.

G.P.C. Nayar, Chairman of SCMS Group, said that young managers have a lot of opportunities considering the overall economic growth visible in various sectors across the country. A. K. Nair, SCMS Group vice-chairman, welcomed while Radha Thevannoor, Group Director, proposed a vote of thanks.
