VISAKHAPATNAM: At a time when old people find it increasingly difficult to lead a normal life surrounded by their loved ones, the Round table organised an activity to bring cheer and joy to the lives of their parents. The Vizag Round Table 77 organised ‘Parents Day' at the Park Hotel. The event was conceptualised to serve a dual purpose - first to reassure the parents that their contribution was unmatched to bring out the best in their children who were leading successful lives today and also to showcase the community service that the Vizag Round Table 77 undertook regularly to bring some cheer into the lives of the underprivileged. Cultural programmes by the children of the parents and a presentation on the various community service projects of the chapter followed. The presentation highlighted the various projects of Round Table like building schools free of cost for underprivileged children and funding cleft lip surgeries for underprivileged children from rural areas around Visakhapatnam. Chairman of the Vizag Round Table 77 Dhramaraju Cheruku spoke.
