Court's conditions for action under plastic ban

HYDERABAD: Justice G. Rohini of the High Court made it clear that unless traders violate the 20 micron limit action may not be initiated under the ‘plastic ban'.
These interim orders were passed in a writ petition filed by various traders associations.
They complained that they were being harassed only because they traded in plastic bags.
The judge said that only in such cases where the violation of rule is specifically alleged, action can be initiated.
Notices to lawyers
A Division Bench of the High Court comprising Justice V.V.S.Rao and Justice Ramesh Ranganathan on Monday ordered notices to 24 advocates in a contempt case arising out of violent incidents in September 2010 in the High Court premises.
This case was initiated suo motu.
When the case came up for hearing before the bench, it directed issuance of notices so that they can respond to allegations against them.
Protection of temples
A Division Bench of the High Court comprising Chief Justice Nissar Ahmed Kakru and Justice Vilas Afzalpurkar on Monday asked the petitioner to approach the officers of the Archaeological Department for declaration and protection of the temple structures in Tirumala.
The Bench was closing the case filed by Srinivasa Ramanuja Iyengar.
