Rs. 5 lakh stolen from car
HYDERABAD: Thieves took away Rs. 5 lakh from a car parked in front of Axis Bank near Tarnaka on Monday, after breaking its windscreen.
Owner of the car, Dayanand, withdrew Rs. 6.10 lakh from the bank. After paying Rs. 1.10 lakh at the registration office, he returned to the bank to withdraw Rs. 7 lakh more. He went inside the bank leaving the bag containing Rs 5 lakh on the front seat. As the queue was long, he walked into an adjacent bakery and had snacks. “While going into the bank, he found the car's side windscreen broken and rushed to the vehicle only to realise that the money was stolen,” police said.
