Two arrested on murder charge

Chandigarh: Two persons have been arrested for allegedly murdering a woman in the last week of May at Dhani Sangatpura in Sirsa district, the police said on Monday.

The two accused have been identified as Gurmail Singh, a resident of Thehari, and Lakhwinder Singh, a resident of Sardulgarh.

“On the night of May 25, the two assailants came to kill the deceased woman's husband (Prakash). However, when she woke up hearing a noise, the assailants killed her and fled the spot,” the spokesperson from the police said. – PTI
