RPO will no more accept passport applications

BANGALORE: The Regional Passport Office (RPO), Bangalore, has withdrawn the facility of accepting passport applications in physical form at its office in Koramangala with effect from Monday.
The RPO had introduced the provision of accepting normal passport applications from May 2 to handle the increase in the number of applicants.
As part of the appointment handling drive launched by the RPO along with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), its private partner in the Passport Seva Project, online appointment slots at the four Passport Seva Kendras for the next working day will be released at 8 a.m..
According to a statement from Assistant Passport Officer M. Ramakrishna, 1,150 normal and 125 tatkal appointments are available at the PSK on Lalbagh Road in Bangalore every day while 800 normal and 75 tatkal appointments are available at the PSK in Sai Arcade, Marathahalli in Bangalore every day. Applicants should log on to passportindia.gov.in for making online applications and securing appointments.
