Big win for Madras Friends

Chennai: Karthik and Srinivasan picked up three wickets each and Giri Prasad scored an unbeaten half-century to help Madras Friends to a 10-wicket win over Swastik ‘B' in a match of the Swastik-Gojan T20 cricket tournament recently.

The scores: Little Masters 112 for seven in 20 overs (T.C. Arun Jose 45 n.o., Shihabudheen three for 17) lost to Swastik ‘B' 113 for two in 13.4 overs (Jerome Alangaram 56); Swastik ‘B' 80 in 18.5 overs (S.T. Karthik three for 15, Srinivasan three for eight) lost to Madras Friends 85 for no loss in 8.5 overs (Giri Prasad 57 n.o.); Madras Friends 150 for seven in 20 overs (N.R.G. Barathwaj 41, Prithvirajan 33) bt Gamesa Wind Turbines 114 in 18.2 overs (Giri Prasad four for 20); Swastik ‘B' 152 for four in 20 overs (D. Sachin Yethendra 43, M.R. Prahalad 33) bt Chennai Dynamites 80 in 18.1 overs (B. Adithya four for 11); Little Masters 135 for six in 20 overs (Ashihanth 60) lost to Firebirds 136 for eight in 17.5 overs (Gowtham 49, Sathya 33, Ranjan three for 25) .
