PANAJI: Goa's Alcon Victor group of hospitality and real estate has joined hands with Carlson, a global hospitality and travel company, to set up a 132-room resort on the Cavelossim beach belt of south Goa. For Carlson, this resort means continued expansion of its India portfolio, according to an official of the company. The property, Radisson Blu Resort Goa Cavelossim Beach, a retreat on south coastal Goa's Cavelossim beach, is the seventh world-class Carlson resort property in Asia Pacific. “Goa is a tropical paradise along India's western coastline bounded by the Arabian Sea. The Radisson Blu Resort Goa Cavelossim Beach blends perfectly with this idyllic destination by providing a vibrant, contemporary, and engaging resort experience sought after by leisure travellers from all over the world,” Victor M. Albuquerque, Chairman and Managing Director, Alcon Victor Group and owner of Radisson Blu Resort Goa Cavelossim Beach, told The Hindu. Mr. Albuquerque said that the group had invested Rs. 100 crore in the property. A group with an annual turnover of Rs. 100 crore, Goa's Alcon Victor Group is in real estate and hospitality business, with three beach resorts each in the coastal belt of south Goa and north Goa each apart from its tie-up with Appollo which runs a medical-tourism hospital in Margao in south Goa.
