Body recovered

PANAJI: The body of an engineer was recovered from under the debris at the accident site of Cuddegal iron ore mines of Goa's Fomento group on Tuesday.

The victim has been identified as T. Kotreshi (29) from Karnataka. Two security staff and a site engineer were trapped under the debris when a retaining wall surrounding a tailing pond of Cuddegal mines in south Goa collapsed on Friday night following heavy rain.

The three bodies had been recovered, company officials said here on Tuesday. The cremation will take place at Margao in south Goa on Wednesday.
