Kanna reaches Delhi finally
HYDERABAD: Housing Minister Kanna Lakshminarayana and the 11-member entourage finally arrived in New Delhi on Tuesday night not before inclement weather and flight delays caused some more anxious moments.
The 11-day Kailash Mansarovar yatra for the Minister and his family members had turned nightmarish after they were stranded at Hilsa on the Tibet-Nepal border on Sunday. Their agonising moments finally came to an end with their arrival at New Delhi at 6.45 pm.
Their safe passage to India was not without action as Mr. Rama Rao, Director of Southern Travels, who rushed to Kathmandu to oversee the Minister's return to New Delhi lost his suitcase containing the passport and other documents. However, he was lucky as the Indian High Commission in Nepal gave him permission to fly to India.
