All set for some uncommon nonsense

Staff Reporter

Centre stage:The students of the Bangalore School of Speech and Drama will stage Lewis Carroll's ‘Alice in Wonderland' in Bangalore.

BANGALORE: The delusional Duchess, the Mad Hatter, the weeping Mock Turtle, the diabolical Queen of Hearts and the Cheshire Cat — here's an opportunity for anyone with a fascination for fairy tales to be transported to the magical land down the rabbit-hole and come face-to-face with some of the most fantastic characters in literature.

To commemorate its 10 anniversary, 60 students of the Bangalore School of Speech and Drama will stage Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland this month.

This humorous musical will be an interactive one. All segments will be managed by the students, who are in the age group five to 20.

Alice in Wonderland will be staged at the Chowdiah Memorial Hall at 7.30 p.m. on June 24 and 25. For tickets, priced between Rs. 100 and Rs. 500, call 9986760235 or 8971965922, or visit www.indianstage.com
