Aadhaar registration from June 27

BIJAPUR: Registration under the Aadhaar (unique identification number) project will begin in the district on June 27.

Five centres

In a press release on Monday, Deputy Commissioner S.S. Pattanshetty said that in the first phase, five centres would be set up for this purpose. Before issuing the UID number, the authorities will verify proof of residence, get the person's fingerprints and scan the iris.
