National Waterways by 2012-end

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Water Resources Minister P.J. Joseph has said that the construction of the Kollam-Kottapuram National Waterways will be completed by December 31, 2012.

Mr. Joseph said after a meeting on inland navigation under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister here on Tuesday that 85 per cent of the work on the waterways was over.

The Minister stated that land and house would be given to those who had to be evicted for the development of the proposed National Waterways.
