Package to provide hassle-free darshan of Lord Venkateshwara for Indians staying in Malaysia

Malaysian Chamber of Commerce willing to set up AP Tourism office in their country: official

Hyderabad: Connecting the temple town of Tirupati with international tourism, Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) is planning to launch Malaysia-Hyderabad-Tirupati package tour shortly. Many people of Indian origin, particularly Telugus and Tamilians, live in Malaysia. Due to lack of awareness, people visiting Tirupati from Malaysia face a lot of troubles, including accommodation and darshan facilities. To provide hassle-free darshan and other facilities, efforts are on to launch an exclusive package tour for those residing in Malaysia, says APTDC Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Sandeep Kumar Sultania. There were many queries from members of Telugu Association of Malaysia and others about flight package tour to Tirupati at the India-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce's Global Indian Summit held recently in Malaysia. Many aspects were discussed with local travellers' association and members of the Chamber of Commerce about the tour package, he said. “Talks are on with Malaysian and other airlines about the cost and other aspects of the package,” said Mr. Sultania. Apart from Tirupati, tourism authorities are planning to operate more package tours connecting Andhra Pradesh with Malaysia.

Many people of Chinese-origin and Muslims stay in Malaysia and for their convenience, package trips connecting Buddhists sites in the State and Hyderabad city tour could be operated, he said. The Malaysian Chamber of Commerce is willing to extend its cooperation and provide space for setting up AP Tourism office in Malaysia, added Mr. Sultania.
