Woman drowns in River Bhavani

Coimbatore: A 60-year-old woman drowned in RiverBhavani at Moolathurai on Tuesday.

Sirumugai police said Mary Krishnaveni of Mettupalayam was washing her clothes when she slipped and fell into the river. Her body was recovered.

Police have registered a case.
