VIJAYAWADA: The Vijayawada unit of Indian Medical Association (IMA) will conduct a mega medical camp at municipal school in Kandrika on June 26 from 9.30 a.m. Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, IMA Vijayawada branch president A. S. Rama Rao and others said that the IMA was conducting medical camps at the slums to take the healthcare at their doorstep. The Association conducted four mega medical camps, first of their kind, in the slums. The IMA has been distributing complete dose of medicines freely to the patients, they said. Dr. Rama Rao said that about 36 varieties of medicines worth Rs. 40,000 to Rs.50,000 were distributed in earlier camps that were attended by more than 800 people. As many as 12 to 14 spcialists treated the patients at each camp.
