Ration cards distributed
TENALI: Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar said the government was implementing various schemes for welfare of poor people, who can utilise them only when they are aware of the benefits offered. He was speaking after distributing ration cards in his constituency on Wednesday.
Efforts are being made to extend the schemes to targeted sections but they would come to a naught without the involvement of the people.
A total of 1,530 ration cards were distributed in the programme held on the municipal office premises. Municipal Commissioner S. Venkata Krishna and others participated.
