Deputy Tahsildar in ACB net

HYDERABAD: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Wednesday arrested E.B. Naga Raj, Deputy Tahsildar of Shamirpet mandal in Ranga Reddy district, on charge of amassing wealth illegally.

Searches at his office and house in Temple Alwal revealed that he had acquired assets worth over Rs. One crore which were disproportionate to his known sources of income, ACB DSP N. Chandrashekhar, said.

The properties included three flats at Lalaguda and Petbasheerabad, four plots at Alwal, Shamirpet and Karmanghat, 1,210 square yards of agricultural land in Alwal, Maruti Swift and two bikes.

Gold jewellery weighing 600 grams, silver articles and ornaments weighing 1.5 kg and Rs. 59,500 cash were also found. Thirty two bottles of foreign liquor were recovered from his house. They were being handed over to the Prohibition and Excise station concerned for further action.
