Woman's death shrouded in mystery

Hassan: Prema, 23, was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her in-laws' house at Kaggaravalli in Alur taluk of the district on Tuesday.
Complaint
In a complaint to the Alur police, Prema's father, Dharme Gowda, alleged that she was murdered by her husband, Dvijayendra, and members of his family.
Prema, a native of Mudigere in Chikmagalur district, married Dvijayendra in February.
According to Mr. Gowda, Dvijayendra, his father, Jagadish, and sister Shakku were harassing Prema for dowry.
‘We gave Rs. 1 lakh'
Mr. Gowda said that they had given Rs. 1 lakh in cash and gold worth Rs. 1.5 lakh to Dvijayendra as dowry before the marriage.
However, they were demanding more.
