Baba devotees seek probe
Staff Reporter
BANGALORE: Members of Sri Satya Sai Baba Devotees Association have sought the intervention of the Union Government in the affairs of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust and order a probe to unearth facts around the seizure of huge amounts of money near Puttaparthi.
Speaking to presspersons here, association president Dhananjaya said that in the light of the police seizing Rs. 35 lakh in cash while it was being transported by a car driver of one of the trust members and of crores of rupees seized from two more persons, both near Puttaparthi, an inquiry should be initiated to clear the confusion.
Mr. Dhananjaya said that the devotees of Sathya Sai Baba around the world suspected that the money belonged to trust and if it was allowed to be misused by vested interests, it would affect the social service initiated by the Baba.
