Collector puts health officials on notice

VISAKHAPATNAM: District Collector Lav Agarwal has warned officials of Medical and Health Department that they will be held responsible if any death occurs due to lack of timely medical assistance.

Mr. Agarwal who toured girijan areas of G. Madugula and Pedabayalu on Wednesday was angry at the conditions at Labjari in Pedabayalu mandal. Villagers said seven persons died after suffering from various diseases.

On his instructions, six patients were shifted to Paderu community health centre and from there some to the KGH here with official escort.

At Y.B. Gonduru in G. Madugula mandal, he enquired whether anti-larvae spraying was taking place.
