11 persons arrested in four cases

VIJAYAWADA: The city police arrested 11 persons in four different cases here on Wednesday. One Town police said four persons – Sk. Rehman, 27, Sk. Asif, 32, both residents of Urmila Nagar, and Sk. Nagul Mera, 22, J. Sivaramakrishna, 25, both residents of Bhavanipuram – were arrested in connection with a robbery case. They snatched a gold chain, ring, and cash Rs. 9,000 from P. Prakash who was passing through their area. The police recovered the gold chain and ring , cell phone and cash of Rs.4,000 from their possession. In another incident, two persons –T. Prabhakar, 31, and K. Ramesh, 29, both residents of H.B. Colony, snatched Rs. 870 from T. Durga Prasad. The police recovered Rs. 600 from their possession. The police also arrested three auto lifters, and two persons of a blade batch.

Md. Javed, 33, Sk. Rehman, 27, and Sk. Asif were allegedly involved in lifting auto AP7X 6839 on Eluru Road. The police recovered auto, spare parts worth of Rs. 1,18,000 from their possession. The blade batch members K.Suresh,28, a resident of low bridge, and M. Behara,29, a resident of canal road, were arrested. The police recovered one kg ganja from their possession..
