KATTAPPANA: Power supply in the State is beginning to look up with two more generators of the Moolamattam power house being put back into operation. The fourth and sixth generators started working on Wednesday. Of six 130-MW generators at Moolamattam, four are in operation now. Two of the generators could be operated on Tuesday. Repair work of the third generator is still in progress. It will take six months to complete the repair work of the fifth generator that got damaged on Monday. . The power house, which is part of the Idukki hydroelectric project, contributes roughly two-thirds of the power generated in the State. A two-member investigation team of the Kerala State Electricity Board arrived at the powers house on Wednesday. The committee, comprising KSEB safety commissioner Samson Varghese and former KSEB member K. Radhakrishnan, is expected to submit the report within two weeks. A team led by engineer A.K. Unni of the Electrical Inspectorate visited the power house.
