Family cards given to Sri Lankan refugees

COIMBATORE: Collector M. Karunakaran on Monday visited the Sri Lankan refugee camp at Pololuvapatti as part of the World Refugee day observance and received petitions.

Mr. Karunakaran handed over 19 family cards to the refugees under the Public Distribution System The camp has 968 members belonging to 286 families. He directed the officials to ensure immediate action on the petitions. He planted saplings in the park in the refugee camp. Tahsildar S. Lakshmikanthan and Forest Range Officer Parthiban took part.
