NEW DELHI: A Nigerian national and his Indian accomplice have been arrested in a joint operation by the Delhi Police and their Cyberabad counterparts from Andhra Pradesh for allegedly stealing particulars of a young man through phishing and transferring over Rs.1.8 lakh from his bank account for purchases made through an e-commerce website. V.R.V. Prasad Nori (32), a resident of Cyberabad, lodged a complaint alleging that unauthorised transactions of Rs. 87,965 and Rs.94,600 had been made through his bank account. Through the bank, he learnt that the money had been transferred for purchases through a popular e-commerce website. The Cyberabad Police zeroed in on one of the sellers at Palika Bazar in Connaught Place, who led them to the purchaser living in Tilak Nagar. Subsequently a joint team raided the place and arrested one Bharat Bhushan (35). At his instance, the police arrested Nebeolisa Olisaeloka Sunday (31).
