Staff Reporter

A total of 7450 applications have been received

PUDUCHERRY: The Centralised Admissions Committee (CENTAC) is likely to release the merit list for the engineering and biology-based courses in the first week of July, officials told The Hindu on Thursday.

With the last date for submission of applications coming to an end on Wednesday, CENTAC officials said that a total of about 7450 applications have been received.

This was out of the total of 8,000 applications that were sold since the announcement of the admissions process.

Out of the 7,450 applications received, the number submitted online was 450.

Officials said that very few applications were rejected during scrutiny except of those candidates who had submitted more than one application against norms.

The total number of applications from candidates belonging to the Union Territory was about 6,100 and those of candidates from other States was around 1,350.
