Seminar in memory of Thangal

Kozhikode: An international seminar in memory of Panakkad Syed Mohammedali Shihab Thangal, former State president of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), will be held at the Sarovaram Hall here on July 9.

Noted academics and political leaders are expected to take part in the seminar organised by www.keralamuslimdata.com on the leader's second death anniversary.

Organising committee chairman Syed Munawwar Ali Shihab Thangal told mediapersons here on Wednesday that Chief Minister Oommen Chandy would inaugurate the seminar at 9 a.m. Committee chief patron Syed Hyderali Shihab Thangal would preside over the programme.

Union Minister of State for External Affairs E. Ahmed will launch an education directory and State Industries Minister P.K. Kunhalikutty will inaugurate the Shihab Thangal Community Empowerment Programme.
