Shimoga: Belur Gopalakrishna, MLA, has said that six additional classrooms will be constructed at the Government Junior College in Sagar.

He was speaking to presspersons in Sagar on Thursday.

A proposal seeking Rs. 2 crore had been submitted to the State Government for the purpose, Mr. Gopalakrishna said.

Applications

As the number of applications seeking admission had increased, it had been decided to construct additional classrooms and upgrade infrastructure, he said.

Plan

It had been planned to construct compounds for the Government Junior College and the Government Women Junior College, Mr. Gopalakrishna said.

Epidemics

As the possibility of the outbreak of epidemics was high during monsoon, Mr. Gopalakrishna asked the officials of the city municipal council to keep the college premises clean.

Action

He asked the officials to take action against those who parked their vehicles in a haphazard manner along the roads that led to the junior college.
