‘Do homework on Munnar'
Special Correspondent
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: M.I. Raveendran, former deputy tahsildar of Devikulam, has said that the United Democratic Front (UDF) government should do its homework diligently before embarking on any mission to remove land encroachers from the Munnar region.
At a press conference here on Thursday, Mr. Raveendran, whose name is linked by the media, activist groups, and some political parties to the “fake title deeds” in Munnar, said the legal status of land was not the same in all parts of Munnar. If this fact was not properly understood, action against encroachments was bound to fail, as had happened to the previous government, he said.
