‘Create awareness among farmers'

BIJAPUR: Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer A.N. Patil has said that agricultural officers should create awareness about scientific farming among farmers to meet the increasing demand of foodgrain and vegetables.

He was speaking after inaugurating a workshop for the beneficiaries of Suvarna Bhoomi and Bhoo Chetana schemes organised by the Agriculture Research Centre and Agriculture Department at Kandgal Hanumantrai Rang Mandir here on Thursday. Agriculture Department Joint Director Bairappa, agricultural expert Soodi Raghavendra Rao, S.Y. Wali and R.B. Balli were present.
