Unsavoury incident
Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD: The city tour of Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy on Thursday was marred towards the end with an unsavoury incident of police preventing the electronic media cameramen from entering the venue of a meeting at Dhoolpet.
In the ensuing melee, the security personnel roughly pushed away the camera persons which resulted in protests from the media persons covering the Chief Minister's visit.
Later at a meeting of the Congress workers addressed by the Chief Minister, the cameramen raised slogans about the high-handed behaviour of the police. In response, Mr. Reddy first asked them to calm down and when they did not relent, he told them in a stern tone: “This is a party meeting. Either stay or if you want to leave, please leave.”
