‘No permit yet to operate city services in Mangalore'

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: Even though the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation has been seeking permit to operate city services in Mangalore for more than a year, the Regional Transport Authority, headed by the Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner, has kept quiet.

KSRTC Managing Director Gaurav Gupta attributed this delay to opposition from private bus operators. “As Mangalore city comes under non-nationalised sector, the corporation should have permit to operate services,” he said.
