ASC swamps ISRO

BANGALORE: ASC scored its second win in four outings with a 9-0 victory over ISRO in the BDFA super division football league at the Football Stadium here on Thursday.

After a convincing win over RWF, ASC seemed to lose its way with a 0-1 reverse against Postal and a 2-2 draw versus BEL. However, against ISRO, the ASC lads fired home goals at will. Jotin Singh, with four goals, led the way while Thiyagarajan, A. Shaikh (2), Thirunavukarasu and Nitesh Bairali completed the tally.

ASC now has seven points from four encounters.

Earlier, for the second match in succession, LRDE was reduced to 10 men. This time, it was Satllin who got the marching orders from referee C. Leo in the 52nd minute.

This came soon after Students Union struck twice through Philip in the 40th and 50th minutes. Murthy reduced the margin late in the contest for LRDE. — Special Correspondent
