A crop holiday was announced for farmers with lands in the ayacut of KEB canal. The release of water to KEB was postponed for the completion of modernisation works.

The releases from Nagarjuna Sagar Reservoir are being gradually increased since June 15. Increasing the discharge from 600 cusecs to 1,800 on June 17 the Irrigation Authorities have further increased releases to 2,500 from June 20.
